SYRIA

Much love to all those of you expressing such care about Syria. Whatever perspective you hold, it is important that we nurture understanding and bonds between each other. We all contribute to our situation in the world.

I have grown to be careful of sharing controversial information. I now mainly do so in niche publications to audiences that seek such information. Many people would rather not be confronted with alternative perspectives and it can lead to further alienating the truth. However some things are worth speaking openly about, this is something I will comment on. I see a steady and sure growing public awareness of corruption, my facebook feed has been covered in associated links and messages this week.Bruva Neyson wrote:

“I love how passionately people on my timeline are defending killing people, if only people were so passionate about everyday things like fixing the corrupt government, the terrible standard of living for the poor compared the grotesque over indulgences of rich tax dodging plutocrats, or maybe how good honest workers like nurses and firemen etc have to foot the bill for rich bankers mistakes. Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone realised that if we worked together we could fix all that…”

To those of you who have begun to ask questions I urge you to seek information from independent sources. Corruption concerning ISIS oil and supplies was briefly mentioned in BBC Question Time last night, but I don’t expect it to be talked of much in the corporate media. It is only later that such truth comes to light within the public sphere, like it has done concerning corruption in Iraq. Films like Green Zone bring the notion of corruption to wider audiences. In the rush of our times there is a tendency to just accept information that we are presented with rather than actively searching and thinking for ourselves. Many people only see from their own level of perception as a member of public, only when we take a more holistic view can we see the bigger picture.

We all have valuable insights and the views we hold contribute to our personality. If the character of an individual stands above the seemingly odd perspectives they may hold, then it makes sense to open up and consider perspectives even if they differ from our own.

I feel we need to have a healthy scepticism, question and cross reference information, and to speak out about the truth. The reporter in this clip put her life on the line to speak out > Video link

Respect to all standing for what you believe in. In these destructive times we must stand together. Play some jungle and keep positive. One love
